Fuel Tank Help
I recently purchased a 70 C10 that has been C-notched and air bagged. When I bought the truck it was taken apart and was missing the cab fuel tank. I found someone that had a clean tank but not the filler tube. I've searched a few of the parts places online and none seem to sell this part. I've seen the a replacement tank, filler hose, and gas cap. But not filler tube. I'm looking for the part that the gas cap screws on to. Any ideas would be great.
thanks, Ed |

Re: Fuel Tank Help
Are you sure it is the correct tank? Mine is a '67 and the tank, tube and cap flange are all welded togather. It is a US steel tank so maybe it is not the way the originals came but I don't see any reason why GM would not have done the same thing.

Re: Fuel Tank Help
All the stock behind the seat tanks I have seen have the filler neck welded to the tank also.
Do you have a picture of the tank?

Re: Fuel Tank Help
I think the one the guy sold me is for a 60-66 pickup. Not good.
