Mcgaughys disc brake kit problems

We recently completed install of Mcgaughys stock height disc brakes on our 67 C10.We had to grind 1/4in. off the end of the upper controll arm to clear their spindle. The brake line comming from the calipr lays up against the spindle.Anyone have any ideas on the brake line? (Stock height because this is our shop truck and we use it as a truck-I have 2 cars that are laying on the ground now)

Re: Mcgaughys disc brake kit problems

There is a long thread about this kit in the suspension section. I read through it last night but I don't remember anyone having a problem with the front kit... but a few had some fit problems with the rear kit...

Re: Mcgaughys disc brake kit problems

I dealt with the same issue (as far as the grinding). I stripped one brake line (don't ask) and went to Advanced Auto for a new one. Wound up with a line from a late 70s Impala if I recall correctly, and it was quite a bit shorter.

Hope that helps.
