Fuel Sender Lock Ring

I bought an aftermarket kit for gas tank relocation to the rear. My question is, Can you re-use the lock ring from the old sender? I dont think my kit came with a new one. If I am correct the hole in the new tank has some type of flange then the o-ring and sender are placed on top of that, then the lock ring is installed on top of the sender into the flange correct? Just a guess on my part I hope I am close to being right?? Or is the flange on the tank the lock ring???

Re: Fuel Sender Lock Ring

Your first assessment sounds right.

There shouldn't be any reason you couldn't use the old lock ring unless it is badly bent.
