Crew Cab Interiors
I have seen a few really nice pics of your guys interiors. I am getting ready to start a crew cab short bed project and would like to see any pics you guys have of these. If anyone has any pics of factory buckets in a crew that would be especially helpful. Did they even come with factory buckets??? Thanks guys

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
CC's had about the same interior options as the Suburbans. Buckets, consoles, overhead consoles etc. I always preferred the bench in the front, so you could sit 3 in front and 3 in the middle row and use the back for all cargo if needed (talking about suburbans). The 89 and up had an awesome looking interior, in my opinion. The use of some wood grain really set off the inside.
I'm very anxious to see what you do with this truck when you get it. Last edited by RandyP; 06-23-2010 at 09:18 AM. |

I've got that same interior in the burb at home but it's blue. Really nice.

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
I always had it in my head I was going to go with low back buckets and an early style console if I ever build one. I have a ton of ideas, and no cash. not a really good combination.

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
That interior looks great. My only issue with blue is it kinda limits the exterior color choices. Is it hard to dye the seats and door panels? Hate to have it rubbing off in a year or two!!

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
I would see what it would run to have Chuck redo the seats for you. That would be the way to go, since he is within driving distance. The plastic on the door panels can be dyed, (along with the other plastic trim). That leaves a good bit of opportunity to do something really cool, within the scope of the project you are getting ready to take on. Just my opinion, but if you are going to do a 4x4 conversion and possibly a Cummins, the interior will need to be pretty sweett, too.

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
My parts 'burb has grey with some of the woodgrain stuff. I really thought about trying to use it in my truck, but would run in to too many challenges I fear. Sure looks classy though, in my eyes. Might be the old man coming out in me.

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
The woodgrain inserts will unbolt off of the door panels. You can have the cloth parts recovered in red to match your current interior, and swap out the wood grain. Just a thought.

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
Not really a good picture but you can see the console and dash as well as the sides of the second generation Camaro buckets and the door panels on my old truck.
Suicide doors...yummy.

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
Sent one back Josh. You could always have the interior parts covered. There some cool guys down at Greshams lake upholstry that will do the job right. We deal with them all the time. They like squarebodies too.

Look in my sig for my crew, that was built by Choo Choo Customs, has buckets and wood center console, reminds me of van interior stuff.

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
I'd say gray, tan, or black they go with nearly any exterior color but red, green, and blue doesn't look good with many color choices

Re: Crew Cab Interiors
the wood grain should peal off the trim I do know it does on the bezel with a little heat and effort
