there have been so many manufactures that have offered the slotted aluminium rim it's hard to say i'd guess the earliest was halibrand with the magnesium racing wheels but the company that really made them affordable was ANSEN when they developed their reusable molds prior to that they were all sandcast

Ansen was the first with their casting methods. I recall U.S. Mags made a lot of slot mags.

15X8 is a common size.
i didn't know Craiger ever made slots? These things look AWSOME polished. I wish i had a pic of my old ones. I had a pair of 15X12's on the back of my 68 couger. I got bored one weekend when I was grounded so I took them to my bed room and spent the whole weekend on them with a small buffer. Got more out of the rims then I did out of the rest of the friken car! |

I have two 15 x 8's and two 15 x 10's (all six lug) that I have been thinking about selling. They need a good cleaning/polishing and would look great. I took them off my 67 gmc about 12 years ago.

Check the back for the manufacturers name. Some aftermarket manufacturers will stamp it into the metal.
I have slots on my truck but there were from a 70's Jeep product like Cherokee. Mine are 15X8 6 lug.
