single? double? top

im just wondering i keep hearing about single and double tops i was just wondering what do they mean? i would like if some one can explain the difference like a picture comparison, thanks

They were just two different tops GM offered. The single wall had dome lights and you could remove the bolts holding it on from the topside.

The double wall top had no lights, and if you have interior panels, you have to take them off to get to the bolts holding the top on which go up through the bed rail into the top.

This is a double wall top. It is, in my opinion, better looking on the inside around the rear windows.

litebulb, I agree totally, inner body panels or not! My double top is in decent shape, but want to be able to go topless at will also! Hey VT, where are you?
