Question Firewall Relay Question ???

There is a small relay on the firewall of my 70 C-10. It is located to the left of the distributor facing the firewall. Every time I hook up the battery is starts clicking. Nothing is on inside the truck. My new battery keeps going down and I don't know what this relay is. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I think it is drawing down my battery but I don't know what the relay is for. My 68 Camaro and 72 Cutlass don't have these relays. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Try unplugging it. It isn't stock, so it shouldn't bother the normal operation. Maybe even follow the wires?

That should be for emissions. It controlled a valve mounted on your manifold that would allow or not allow vacuum to your distributor. I have seen several 70's with this. Unplug it and see if your problem goes away.

The other thing I always check first is the horn relay. Does your horn work? If it doesn't it could be the horn relay and it generally takes about 3 days to drain a battery.
