Maiden Voyage Today on my 72
I've been working on my burb slowly and not getting into a hurry but I have been frustrated with it not starting so I broke down and took it to the shop. (Now I'm really broke down if you know what I mean!)
Found out that my carb was bad. They replaced the carb with another edelbrock and started it up but the gas flooded out the cylinders. Something was wrong with the new carb so they put another new one on. They did a few more things for me but long story short--I drove her for the first time tonight. I wish I had a camera, there were 3 of my kids and me all in the front seat. Kids were loving it, whopping and holloring. We've waited a long time to get it started and I'm glad it's up and moving now. Now, we're going to get all the parts and pieces back on I'm hoping before too long I'll be driving my burb everyday. Have a good day! Joe |

Congrats Joe. I love it that you share the joy of the Burb with your kids. They will remember it for their entire lives.

That's very cool, Joe. Nothing like that maiden voyage... and very cool for the kids. My kids love to ride in the burb... it's pretty cool how the younger ones appreciate the classics!

Congratulations!
Gotta love the feeling of getting the burb back on the road. Mine has been stretching her legs more often now, and getting better every weekend I take her out.

Congrats, Joe. Lots of hard work to get to this point, I'm sure. Good luck with all the little things. Hope you're driving it daily soon!

Re: Maiden Voyage Today on my 72
congrats. I got mine roadworthy a few weeks ago and been using it as daily driver. My grandkids love it too.
