Hey guys,

The more I drive my truck the more it sounds like my bed its going to fall off! Its really bad, some corners it sounds really really bad. When I get in it and jump around it almost sounds like the bed bolts are loose maybe? Its weird hard to describe.. Speed bumps are embarrassing

any ideas? Oh and my rear bushings on my leafs are squeaking really really bad. Should I just replace those when I drop the truck?

Replace bushings on the leafs thats what your really supposed to when you lift or lower a truck. Checking the bolts would be a good start on the bed

yeah mine was like that when i bought my truck. all the bolts on the passangerside

Mine was like that. there were 3 bolts missing and the whole right side bolts where loose. Bought some new ones at Home Depot and sturdy as hell now.

So I got under the truck and only 1 bolt was loose... Still makes a big clunk when I go over a bump or turn a sharp corner.. I dont get it. Is there anything I can do to the rear leafspring bushing to keep it from squeaking until I can replace everything?

Are you sure the noise is coming from the bed and not echoing off the bed. Bad leaf spring bushing will clunk pretty hard. A bad shock bushing can clunk too. Basically lay under the truck and have someone else get in the bed and make it bounce and look for things moving that shouldnt be. It will likely be obvious once your under there. Just use a good spray lube on the bushings
