Disc conversion help
I know this gets beat to death, Im sorry for asking but doing a search I cant seem to pin point an exact answer for myself, I get close an then the topic strays away on threads an goes into changing the entire front setup.
What I have is 1968 C10 Swb has 6 lug an drum brakes. I have late 70's spindles that are drop ones. My question is before I tear into it I would like to know besides the spindles that I have, and the calipers off same truck with rotors is what year ball joints will I need to purchase so I can replace those while Im at it, also the same deal on tie rods. Now I know I gota put the proportioning valve on and change some lines no big deal but the ball joints an tie rods I would like to know an maybe any other surpises Im in store for when I start so that my truck is not down where it cant be driven for a week. Again sorry for beating a dead horse, any help will be appreciated!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Disc conversion help
if the drop spindle is made for 73 and up trucks then you ll have to get the 73+ ball joints and and inner/outer tie rod ends and sleeves as well as the center link. The bj will fit in the 68 lca`s
