I brought home something different this time....3+3! UPDATE! NOW FOR SALE.

I have had my share of square bodies, and I have always wanted one of these but it just never worked out. Well....it did this week and I LIKE IT!

1986 GMC 2500 3+3 single wheel. 5.7 TB400.

Almost no rust and it looks like a new truck underneath. It needs front seat upholstery, master cyl., tailgate, tires and a good cleaning and wax job, but its a real nice one and seems to run and shift great.

It was on Craigs list for a few weeks. I went and looked at it about 2 weeks ago and it was a really good deal then. I obviously didnt need it so I didnt act on it then. I called a week later and it was still avaialble. He drove it from Cartersville to Marietta every day and the gas was killing him. He had just picked up a newer, smaller SUV. and about the same time I called the second time the master cyl. went out on it. Needless to say...he was really motivated to get it out of his driveway. I made an offer and was there in an hour. Its the first truck I have brought home in a long time that I DROVE home.

I am finishing the AC in the BURB today and hooking it to the machine to charge it. The final sale price of the burb is going to be determined by the sucess of the AC and what else I have to spend to have it working. I have a handshake deal and have been told it is SOLD with or without AC. He and I both just wanted to see if I could get it finished so he didnt have to pay real money to have it fixed. I hope the deal goes through...he seemed to be a straight up guy and I dont have his screen name but he is a board member also.

Neither UNCLE or Woody had the part you were looking for.

Re: I brought home something different this time....3+3!

I now have it listed for sale. I have had a few time wasters but no one has come through with the $$$ yet. Fly in and drive home. I also have a 373 rear end for it to sweeten the deal.

Re: I brought home something different this time....3+3!

like the man said, what are the plans? duals? short bed, ground scrapers? total stock, except for the 671 peaking through the hood...

really a good looking truck.. the most fun part for me is deciding what i want her to look like..

Re: I brought home something different this time....3+3!

If you're interested in selling two small parts from it I would be interested in buying them. I'm looking for the High Sierra 2500 fender emblems. They're impossible to find and I would be willing to pay for them.

Re: I brought home something different this time....3+3!

I haven't ever seen a set in person. I'm willing to pay decently if you want to get rid of them. That's what my truck originally was and I'm trying to make it a GMC again instead of a Chevy. High Sierra stuff is difficult to find.

not to sound stupid but what does the 3+3 mean? Does it mean it's 3 wheel drive or something?

I think it means it seats 6, 3 front and 3 back.
