any DIY upholsters out there?

Just wondering if anyone has done their own bench seats,I got a good sewing machine given to me and was thinking of giving it a whirl.Any advice would be nice.

I thought about that, but decided against it for several reasons.
Lack of upholstery skills on my part meant it would likely not come out looking very nice. Good upholstery material (OEM like) is not cheap, and replacement foam is very expensive. For about $225 I got my seat foam rebuilt and OEM like fabric installed by a local upholstery shop. I don't think I could have obtained the materials for much cheaper than that - would have been more most places. If your foam is good, Walmart has an OEM looking seat cover for about $30 which will cover things up - almost an exact match to OEM fabric and style. Of course, it is not a custom fit. I just bought one to fit over my reupholstered seat to try to keep it nice.

For shareing that info with all of us I thought it was an Awsome site
A friend of mine helped me do my head liner My truck org didnt come out with
One so I made my own and just used the interior pices out of a donor truck
