Door Adjustment

Rebuilt my driver's side door hinges cause my door wouldn't open. Now it doesn't want to latch shut easily. I have to close it by opening the window and pulling on the door to slam it shut. Door gaps look good, is there a way to adjust the striker plate?

Re: Door Adjustment

Striker plate adjusts up,down,in, out. Loosen the bolts and mess with it and you'll eventually get it.

Re: Door Adjustment

I can see the shims for in and out, but can't figure the up and down part of it. I guess I'll mess with it some more.

Re: Door Adjustment

Went out and played with some more. I barely have a 1/16" of adjustment up and down. Door is closing a little better though. I think the rebuilt hinges changed the way the door is hitting the seal. The seal just needs to break in again.
