Couple Questions
1) I have a V8 power steering pump and bracket ready to go. Only problem is, I don't have the time to swap the I6 out for the V8. If I buy the 250 brackets, will it work with the V8 pump assembly?
2) I have a 250 with a 3 speed and a V8 sitting on the motor stand. The V8 is out of a 94 with Edelbrock Air Gap Manifold and Carb. I've read that the V8s will sit in the I6 position, but will it bolt up to the stock 3 speed. I think all I need is a fly wheel and I can do the swap in an afternoon. I have a new radiator for the V8 as well. Any one have experience with this swap? My truck is a 72 1/2 ton, 2 wheel drive. Thanks for the help!

Re: Couple Questions
The 6 cylinder PS pump brackets will not work on a V-8.
Your 6 cylinder bellhousing will bolt to the V-8, but your flywheel will not. You will need an 86-up flywheel to match the crank bolt pattern (one-piece rear seal). Ray Last edited by raycow; 06-28-2010 at 04:55 AM. |
