my 86.... lil help wanted!!!
ok here she is its a 1986 gmc sierra long bed 2wd... lil bit of surface rust only 1 hole... 30000 original miles... I am completely new to gm and trucks... i know its got a 305 5.0... just wonder i think they call it a k1500... i put a phantom grill, 22 inch wheels with 265/35/22 tires, and some tail lights... im looking for some insight about possibly lowering the truck maybe doing airbags... this truck is used everyday as my bike hauler so it needs to be able to haul 1 or 2 bikes and be reliable and have some what of a decent ride. all help on where to find parts, any known common issues with this truck and any help and insight would greatly be appreciated thanks and i cant wait to make this truck really cool

Re: my 86.... lil help wanted!!!
Here's my 2cents....don't lower it using air bags....lots of expense and issues with air leaks.
Suggest going for a 2/4 drop using readily available kits. |

Id go with the airride technologies, theyll sell you bags that go in place of the front springs, and a "bolt in" kit for the rear thats like a 4 link.
