Manifold pipe plugs

I have some unwanted holes in my new edelbrock performer. Can anyone tell me what size they are likely to be as I need to order some plugs to blank them off. Also is this a good place to put a temperature switch for my electric fan? Theres a spare hole next to the water outlet that loks like a good location. If so what size/thread is it likely to be, can I put a fan switch in there and what on/off temp do I need?

Oh the PITA of not being able to nip to my local spares place and picjk things like this up.

IIRC, 1/2" NPT and 3/8" NPT. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G1484N/
Sorry, no idea on the electric fans.

Re: Manifold pipe plugs

On the 1/2" NPT holes you can often get away with using a 1/2" BSP plug. It won't likely seal dry, so be sure to use sealant on the threads.

Don't try using a BSP plug in the 3/8" holes. The thread pitch is different and you can bugger up the threads in the manifold.

There used to be one in Chorley which is near Lancashire. I don't recall the name. It's been several years.

Re: Manifold pipe plugs

Depending on witch hole you are trying to plug off, like others have said 1/2" or 3/8" Pipe thread plugs. You want to place the tempratrure probe for your electric fans either into the top nipple in the radiator so that it sets in the water or in the fins of the radiator near the top. Just depends on witch temprature probe that you have. WES
