Cruise Control

I'm beginning my cleanup of my engine bay and being as this is my first C10 I have a few questions. There is a cruise control unit in my engine bay (see pics below) that I don't believe to be stock. Can anyone confirm that this isn't a stock unit? Also the speedometer cable routes through this cruise control box so I can't remove it without losing my speedo reading. Does anyone have a good example of how the stock speedo cable should be routed on a 71' Cheyenne Super with a Turbo 350?

Re: Cruise Control

unscrew the cable that is closest to the brake master cylinder, and then run it in the cab where the other cable is, and hook it to the speedo. It looks plently long enough to reach.
