P0343 code
I scanned my 2003 Suburban 6.0 for a check engine light and got this:
P0343 Camshaft Position Sensor A, Bank 1 I have two questions though: 1. Which side is this? Passenger or driver? 2. I take it that there is one sensor for each cam, so would it be cost effective to just change them both as a just in case? I have searched the web and found about 75% say it is passenger side, and 25% say it is drivers side. I am better with points than I am sensors and ECM's. Thanks

Re: P0343 code
Quote:
Your 6.0 only has One cam sensor & One camshaft. Its behind the intake manifold (remove the intake so you can remove all the debris from around the sensor). You chould have a bad connection/short/open curcuit in the CMP sensor wiring. Last edited by clinebarger; 06-29-2010 at 10:36 PM. |
