cowl
I was wondering if there was a way of ajusting windshield wiper cowl,as it fits perfect on one side but sticks up on the other.

Every truck's parts that GM built back in the day fit a little differently and mostly not real well. (meaning they do not have consistant lines) If you do not have any rust issues holding the cowl up on one side, then you might be able to get a better fitting cowl from a donar truck. If not then you will have to manualy adjust yours. Meaning cut a piece out and reweld. It is hard to see what is going on without pictures. WES

Generally you have to shim and adjust the fenders and hood to fit the cowl then when you do that you may have to re-adjust the doors to fit the fenders.... or what WES said. LockDoc

I would suggest using some small washers to shim the low side to match. Not the most perfect solution, but its a whole lot better than cutting up your cowl!

Before going to drastic measures to fix a small problem try tightening the bends near the mounting flange on the high side.

Mine was tight on one end and real loose on the other end. (yes, it sounds like a personal problem). I had to elongate the holes at the wipers to move some, Then the tight end was OK but the other end was way too low. I got some of it back with a washer under the era. Then I tightened it down and then used a small pry bar to bend the low end up until it was almost level. Then I built up the remaining difference with fiberglass putty. Sanding the putty level on an inside corner is tricky. I wrap self stick 80 grit around a foam pipe insulation and sand in 45 degree strokes.
