Drag and bagged? Good or bad idea?

I have a 67 c10 step that is bagged. I am in the process of a very slow build of the motor but hope to get it up to 400+ hp. Well, what I would like to know is, would having bags have any advantage? How would I set it up? I don't have any shocks on it at all right now but plan to get some sometime soon. Anyone have any experience with it? I'm worried about how I can get it to hook really well. Anyone with any facts or opinions are very appreciated! Any more info needed just ask... Thanks!

Back in the 60s and 70s, drag cars used to be jacked up pretty high, the theory being that the higher the C/G, the more weight transfer you got when accelerating. I don't know if this is still being done, as I haven't been to the drags in years.

I was thinking that if you could get on a scale one axle at a time, you could find out if different combinations of front and rear lift would give you better static weight distribution.
