Bolt pattern question
I am thinking of buying these http://semo.craigslist.org/pts/1808347316.html . The question is will they fit my 86 4x4 with a 6inch suspension lift? Or will they have that "to much lift not enough tire syndrome"? The found a complete rough country 6inch lift today for $100 so now i'm shopping for tires and wheels.
(edit) mine is a 6 lug Last edited by 86lovelongbeds; 07-02-2010 at 12:23 AM. |

Re: Bolt pattern question
I think it will look good. Its more of personal preference. Some people think 32s with a 10 inch lift looks good. I say go for it you can always get 35s later

Re: Bolt pattern question
I was just wondering because with a 17 inch wheel and a 33 inch tire, wouldn't that kinda be like a 35 inch tire on 15's? Or does it not work that way? and do you know if the bolt pattern is the same?

Re: Bolt pattern question
No it is a 33 with a bigger hole in the center for the 17. Bolt pattern is the same only thing I dont know about is if the center hole is big enough for your hubs to stick through in the front. Maybe someone else on here knows for sure.

Re: Bolt pattern question
I think your right, I can see all 4 wheels in the picture and they came off a 97 chevy so they will not have a large enough hole for my hubs. Thanks for replying or I would have drove 2 hours for nothing.

Re: Bolt pattern question
32" tires with a 6" lift would look rediculous.
35's with a 6" lift is perfect in my opinion. |

Re: Bolt pattern question
Yeah I already have the lift, even if I didn't put it on, I couldn't pass up the deal. I think I might stick with the factory rallies and just throw some 35's on it.

Re: Bolt pattern question
I'll be sure to get some pics once the lift is on. As of now it just has a 3inch suspension lift and 33's on it.
The pic I have of it now shows all the rust and dents but i'm getting the suspension up to par before I do the body work. Re: Bolt pattern question
Good looking 4x4! Little piece of advice though, do the body and paint before you lift it. You'll get tired of climbing a ladder to work on it. Right now you could remove the tires/wheels and be able to paint the top panels and such.
Granted, you might be doing a body off or something, in which case it would really be irrelevant I suppose. I know my painter sure cusses when we get one in with a 6" lift. |

Re: Bolt pattern question
Well I went shopping for tires, found a deal on some 33's that I could not pass up. Here is a pic of what it looks like with fresh shoes on.
The question is how dumb would it look if I went ahead and put the 6inch lift on it? If you know of one that has 33's and a 6inch lift please post it. |

Re: Bolt pattern question
It looks great with those 33's. I think you will need 35's to make it look right with 6" of lift
