a couple mods i did today
I finally found someone to buy my drag radials and slapped some 315/35/20s in the rear of my truck. i also added the band under the back window that i had polished a few months back i got tired of having it get dinged up in the garage.

Re: a couple mods i did today
Truck looks amazing man. What drop do you have? Is it not rubbing in the rear? What backspacing are you running?
Looks like you have been busy with the polish between that cab trim and your grille. |

Re: a couple mods i did today
the wheel is 20x11.5 and the backspacing im not sure of because they were custom built. The drop has belltech 3" spindles and a coil cut off the factory spring. The rear has a shackle and hangers, i removed a few leafs out of the rear because i had a heavy half truck so i took out three leafs and the overload, it doesnt rub at all it fits perfectly.
and up front the wheels are 20x8.5 with 245/40/20 |

Re: a couple mods i did today
Very cool truck, love the wheel/tire combo. How were the HID headlamps done? Is there a kit for the old H4656 housings, or ???

Re: a couple mods i did today
3r!c84, I went to the turkey rod run in 08 i plan on actually driving my truck out there this year that its starting to look alot better.
Thanks for all the comments guys. I always turn to this site whenever i have a question about my truck or to see whats the best way about going about something. To answer some of the questions you guys asked, The HIDs were installed using glass h4 housings designed to replace the factory headlight assembly. As for the foglights i just "plati-welded" the bulb to the housings that i got from lmc and made sure they sat flat against the hole of the housing. As of now i have no problem with condensation or the plastic melting or getting too hot for the housing, They also dont have to be aimed since the truck sits so low. Menace, yeah those are the factory pieces that were on the truck i just took them to him and he worked his magic, they looked alot better when i picked them up from him but after being thrown around the garage for a few months they have dulled out a bit, i think they look good though. Thanks again for all the comments guys. |
