Big block so far,

Re: My 57 (bigblock,on bags) project

Nice build so far .What are the details of your truck? What size wheels and tires? What kind of rear end? What is the hieght of the frame from the bottom of the floor, at the front of the cab, and at the rear. Just trying to get an idea how low mine is compared to yours. Scott

I'm getting jealous of all these people with nice big shops to work in - I have to keep parts on my back porch and my wife just LOVES it! Truck looks good, how long you had it?

Re: My 57 (bigblock,on bags) project

Nice build, what's size tires are you running in the front? Have you put the front fenders on to see how much clearance you have? I'm also running a 71 camaro front clip and have some 18x8" 338 in the front with 245/45/18 and there isn't much space between the fender lip and wheel.

Re: My 57 (bigblock,on bags) project

Tri5...I have to look again at the tires, they are a really low profile..I put the fenders up to the cab looks close should clear fine..The wheels tuck in a good bit on airbags..

Re: My 57 (bigblock,on bags) project

shot of the frame, crossmember is about 3" of the floor..with 2" spindles the rockers will have about an inch of room from ground..

Firewall done today, sorry I was a lil close.

Thought this was funny...

Can you show some close up pictures of your graft on your subframe. Any plans on an alternate dash since you removed the stock one.

Re: My 57 (bigblock,on bags) project

no spacers...It's been so long since I got the wheels..I'll check.
I told the guy to get me the deepest offset he could for the 338's
mustang rear 20"-10", camaro front 20"-9.5"
