Question about Free items.
I know that you need to be a subscribing member to sell things which sorta makes sense. But what about Free stuff?? I have something that I bought and the return shipping for it is as much as the part so essentially it was a waste trying to send it back. But I hate to see it go to waste and would like to offer it for free but I dont want to get the mods on me for it. What is the protocol for free stuff?

Re: Question about Free items.
To my way of thinking FREE parts means no cost to the person you're giving it too. Like in shipped for free to your door. I do that. 4 times on this forum so far!!!

Re: Question about Free items.
If one wants to pay for shipping that's very generous but...if it's going to cost the giver let's say $20-40 in shipping then maybe the giver will ask for the shipping cost to be paid for...It's a choice.

Re: Question about Free items.
It's not totally free. I ask that the receiver PAY IT FORWARD. When he sees THat 70cst is lookin' for a widget for his jimjam that he does the same. He sends it shipped free to your door. At some point we'll all get a totally free present in the mail. LOL!!!

Re: Question about Free items.
I have given some stuff away on here. Some of it I have even paid the shipping for as well. I offered to give another member a complete frame yesterday, but if I had to pay to ship that then there is no way that I could afford to give it to him.

Re: Question about Free items.
i've also given something away and i paid for shipping. the other party was looking for something i was going to toss and i felt that i get alot from this site, so it was a way of giving back. i will be a subscribing member soon but figured it would make his day. i hope it was what he wanted and it worked for him.

Re: Question about Free items.
My philosophy is "Cheap is good, but free is better. If you want to give something away, please do. If you want the person to pay shipping, discuss it via PM...
