Best Bang for my Buck
Hey folks, I am looking around at radiators and would like my fellow member's opinions on who has the best Aluminum radiator for my '69 Chevy C10, 454 mild build, TH400. I just need the radiator as I'm running a 16" 2100 CFM electric fan now on the radiator that's in my truck. It cools great and is clean and flows good but it is to big. I have a fabricated mount to keep it securely in place but I would like to purchase a correct fitting radiator as this is kinda an eye sore. Thank you, Ted

I am running a 3 core from Auto Zone in my '71 with a 454, I can not remember the price. It fits great and works great.
I am sorry I don't have an info on aluminum ones.

I was having a problem with my big block recently. It had a factory 3 row and the thermostate housing temp was 210. It was actually hotter driving freeway speeds than sitting in traffic without the air on. I changed to a 4 row, Proliance Ready Rad P/N 433369, put a 180 degree thermostate in and its all good now. i have had it in for three or four days and the guage gets to a hair over half way. It has been between 97 and 100 with high humiditly here in dallas and i have no problems with the air on and sitting in traffic.

i got a 4 core from autozone for like 120 and it is awesome nad cools well add some water wetter and it will run 20 deg cooler

Thanks fellers, I bought an Aluminum radiator and shroud for my electric fan from Cool Craft Radiators. I have $450.00 total shipped to my door in it. They said it would ship in 10-14 days as they had to build it and the shroud. I will post pictures when I get it and let you know how it fits and how cool my lil Rat will run.
