We are doing a mild chop on the top. The windshield won't be cut.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Brad2 - are you basically laying back the windshield to accomplish the chop? if so how much did you go back? I really like the layed back look, gives the trucks a sleeker "modern" look.

That is how you can do the chop and I think thats how you do it there was a chop step by step in Classic Truckin Jan 2000 Vol 9 No. 13 They layed the windshield back 2 " and removed 1.5 out from under the rear window. Pretty cool thought of doing it to my truck but too much time I want to drive the truck this Summer. I can aways do it to another cab this winter then swap cabs.

Brad what do plan on using for side glass ?

The chop is about two inches. The windshield was laid back seven degrees. My alltime favorite chop is the one on the Traders 72 chevy back in the early 90's? Not so much of a chop that it is out of proportion. I didn't really want to do away with the wipers but it will make that area look so smooth. The truck won't be a daily driver so I will rely on RainX to get me by. The side glass is being done locally for me. It will be one piece side glass and won't have the filler plate that the kits have. It takes some engineering but it will work.

Wink

Fenders........opps! Nothing on it is regular anymore so it will just get done somehow. Mine had a little more rust on the left. Luckily there was very little of it to deal with. I will have heat and a/c but it won't be very visible under the hood.

I don't think it's that odd. Most of the right-side body panels on my truck aren't original, but thats because my dad parked it where it got hit by the neighbor's sprinklers nearly every day for several years. It had a hole straight through just above the beltline about 3" tall!

I'll have to ask him where he got the front fender at least...it would explain why the eyebrow has never really fit that well.
