with my air ride wired in could i be drawing too much power to turn over the engine? should i run 2 batterys? any help would be great! thanx

I would start by disconnecting your compressors and going from there. If it starts, check all your wiring. Make sure you didn't miss wire something. If it doesn't start, leave it disconnected and check fuses, wires, and the battery.

Did this happen right away or did it sit overnight? If it sat overnight and you have leaks in the system your compressor will keep turning on to fill the tank until it eventually kills the battery.

how did you wire your compressors? You should be using a relay, if not you probably blew a fuse or fusable link. Its impossible to say without knowing what and where you added wires. Do you have a multimeter? If not, that's the first purchase I would make.

Are you sure you hooked everything back up?

Re: air ride install. now truck wont turn over

Did you disconnect battery when you wired everything up? If you did check your grounds if it is not making a good connection, the accessories will work (low draw) but starter will not have enough to turn over- too much resistence. I would start there. The fusable link will prevent everything from working so if you are powering the little things it is out of the equation. Also check the state of your battery, if you played with the compressors you may have drained it past a working voltage for the starter. Ground would be my first choice however...

Great minds think alike...posted this in his build thread

THey take a lot of juice....or did you mess with any ground wires and maybe leave one off? Also check the connection at the battery...mine would let the lights work but not turn over when it was loose at the terminal....tightened it down and it started right up...

i have a relay for bolth compressors, i am charging the battery over night to see if that will help, tomarow i will check all my grounds,

i am using a painless wiring kit too if that helps.

Re: air ride install. now truck wont turn over

I had an S10 on bags. The compressors had a pressure switch and was wired to constant +12V. I had to change it to a +12V IGN. It didn't take long for the compressors to drain the battery beyond dead. So dead, I needed a new battery.
