Wheels for 67 C20
So today at a local town celebration car show I saw a 67 C20, similar to ours, except perfectly restored in great condition. It had american racing steel 8 lug wheels, in an 8-hole design. They looked really good on there, and since our truck needs wheels in a modern size (current stockers are split rims in 17.5"), Dad and I decided that those were the wheels we wanted. So, I was looking on Jegs and Summit, and these are the closest I could find to that. For $82 each + shipping, I think they're a pretty good deal. What do you guys think?
16 x 8, 8 x 6.5" bolt pattern with 4.5 inch backspacing. These will fit, correct? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3987880/?rtype=10

Re: Wheels for 67 C20
I had some Rockcrawler rims like that in black. 16" x 8" with 4.25" BS, 4.5" BS should work.

Re: Wheels for 67 C20
Also, the truck I saw had 235/XXR16's, I'm thinking 245/75's would work well (stock size on newer silverado's). Anyone know what that is compared to 9.00 - 17.5 (IIRC, will check in the morning for sure) height wise, as in how far off the speedometer will be?

Re: Wheels for 67 C20
That site only knows P-metric sizes. What is a size like 9.00-17.5 considered, as it's not "standard". I might just have to measure the height and approximate...

Re: Wheels for 67 C20
I'm running 265/70R16's and my speedo is pretty close to spot on with my GPS.

Re: Wheels for 67 C20
What was your original gear ratio and tire size?

Re: Wheels for 67 C20
4:10 gears. Don't have a clue as to what size tires originally came on the truck. It's a '69 C-20.

Re: Wheels for 67 C20
Ok, thanks. I think a 265/70 is about 0.5% taller than a 245/75.

Re: Wheels for 67 C20
I have those exact same rims except mine are from "eagle" .
for 82 bucks you can't beat those 8 lug cragars! seriously I paid 150 for all 4 from some guy on craigslist, lightly used.
