77 gmc
Need some help. Does anyone know if i can lower the rear of my 77 GMC 1/2 ton by bolting on a set of 4x2 4 leaf leafsprings on. It currently has a 4x2 7 leaf set up. I already have a DJM 3 4 drop kit on it. I would like to go a little lower in the rear. I'm wondering if there will be length issues?? ANY help is appreciated.

Re: 77 gmc
The springs are a diff length, you can do it, but will have to move the rear hangers forward to the other set of holes on the frame.
I'd just remove the overload leaf plus one more on your stock springs...assuming you have a shackle/hanger kit on there now.

Re: 77 gmc
Nice ride, and I agree...but if you lower the rear, then the front will need to come down more...

Re: 77 gmc
For the size wheels you have, you need a 5/7 drop.

Re: 77 gmc
It looks good with the current stance...but you could always stand to go lower.

Re: 77 gmc
The current set is 3/4 Pro Drop by DJM. Thimk I'm gonna take the bottom 2 leafs out and put some drop springs on the front?

Re: 77 gmc
3/4 what?? Spindles or coils?? Rear...flip, shackle/hanger? Need to be more specific so we can help you determine how to lower the rear more.
