Re: kumho tires

can't base anything on where they're constructed imo, I'm running toyo m/t 37's made in the USA and they are overpriced junk, poor handling, bad wear quality, and usually run super swampers, also american made but quality product. I rant kumho mud tires and they were good, as far as the ecsta street tires they are good for the price imo, I ran these on the girl's mazda got great wear, handlin, and the longevity wasn't too bad but that's also on a car. Try AVON tires if you're thinking price wise, a few friends are running them on 24's and 22's and said for the price you can't beat them

Re: kumho tires

Don't know about their street tires but I have a set of 35" all terrains on my dodge 2500 4x4 diesel. Best set of tires I have ever owned. They have been on my truck for 4 years and have 50,000 miles on them now. Still got plenty of tread. Heck I've never even had them balanced in 4 years and they wear perfectly and ride great. I'm about to order another set.

Re: kumho tires

I put them on my daughters 1994 Camaro. Kumho Ecsta's to be exact. No problems. Decent tires on the cheap.

I don't know about cars, but I know they seem to perform well on big trucks.

Re: kumho tires

I put a set of them on my '04 Honda pilot. They replaced the crappy Goodyear Interigas (very lousey wet tires !!). With the Goodyears, pulling a trailer the antilocks would kick in and you could NOT stop on wet pavement. Put the Kumho a/t or mud & snow tires (not sure of the model) on and now it will stop. They were louder than I liked but handled GREAT. I have +40,000 miles on them and still have good tread. They also lowered my MPG by about 2 MPG, but they are twice the tire.

We have Kumho tires on our Acura, and it seems to be a quality tire. No complaints

Actually, worse, if you look at the sidewall, i think some if not all Kumhos are made in vietnam!

However, i've heard nothing but good about kumhos and they are actually at top on my list for consideration when it's time for replacements.

Re: kumho tires

When Kumhos first came out they had problems/wore out quickly but have since improved according according to a reputable source I use when needing tires. I had them on a VW not a truck though. I also think it depends on your needs...driver...selling...
