I screwed up, can somebody help me out.

I feel like an idiot for even posting this, but my brain ain't working right now and I can't figure out what to do.
I was installing my Moroso springs and using the Autozone spring compressor(the one that goes on the inside). I got everything done and was trying to take the spring compressor out, but I can't. I let the tension off the spring, I unhooked the upper control arm...nothing worked to get the hooks out. I know this is probably so simple, but I can't figure it out. My truck is a 82 C10 and the spring is about 3.75-4" inside diameter....the same kind of coils that have been on my truck for a few years now.
I'd appreciate any help or advice. I'd rather not have to pull the spring out to remove the compressor, but I will if I have to.

Try and post a picture so we can see what's going on.

I got it out. I had to go find a crowbar to pry the compressor out.

I don't know what happened, I kinda blanked out today and couldn't focus for crap. I hadn't ate all day and I wasn't drinking as much water as I normally do, so I'm assuming the sun baked the brains and energy right out of me.

I have had the same problem with being able to focus and have learned I have to eat regularly and drink plenty of water, especially during hot weather.

I have been working on something and have had to just walk away and take care of my body's need for food and drink before going back and working on something.

I notice this year I am having a lot more trouble dealing with the heat.

I too hate the internal spring compressors.
