what do u have over you carburator? custom air filter housing?

im lookin into get making my own air filter housing for my carburated 350 chevy. but first i would like to see what set-ups yall got. i seen many kits but not many are available for the square bodies.

show me wat u got...

I just shaved off what I had... The original 305 cover was starving the 350 that was put in.. It's ghetto, and don't look all fancy and purdy, but hey.. it boosted my performance! LOL plus, I have to keep it close to stock, for strict smog reg's here in California

i like it cuz its simple, are u using the stock filter also?

this is what i got, but everybody keeps telling me to ditch my filter and make a custom housing cuz all my engine is doin is suckn in the same hott air under the hood.

Currently running a stock aircleaner off a '76 C20 with a 454 in my '76 K20 w/ 350.

yeah i think ima hit the junkyards soon. see if i can find me a stock 4' high housing and just flip the cap. thanks guys.

I dont know if you guys have seen the magazine "american truck" i think its called, its linked to lmc but they had a black 2wd step side with a stock looking air cleaner housing and a chrome polished lid on the top, it looks like a k&n air cleaner lid. Does anyone on here have that setup?
