manual steering box filling?

fill with grease or gear oil?

I use grease in mine, but when they were new they were filled with a heavy oil, thicker than transmission lube. However, unless you do a complete rebuild with new bearings and seals, the oil isn't going to stay in there, and this is assuming you can even find a source for the oil.
