Last look at my 69 SWB in its multi coloredness

Well getting tired of how the old truck looks, so I snapped a few pics before I start sanding it all down and priming the whole truck one color...

Truck looks nice and straight, good fender/door gaps. It will look sweet once it is painted.

yeah it was... I wish I had the contact info from the guy when I bought it... I only had it a few months when most of the paint blew off.. It came off like rubber, I could grab a piece at the door handle and drag it all the way to the bottom of the door... Was fun trying to rip off the biggest piece..lol

those wheels would look bad-a$$ polished out ... wouldn't take more than about $20 in materials and a few hours of your spare time

And just think if you media blasted it, in about two to three hrs you could be masking the windows getting ready for paint. Sure saves elbows n wrists.

Looking Good Bobby! Since your going to the bare metal, are you using a self etching epoxy primer? Whats the plan for paint? I'm interested.

Re: Last look at my 69 SWB in its multi coloredness

Bobby, I would just sand it down and clear coat it! That would look slick with the machined look to it. On a more serious note, good luck with the sanding (everyone's favorite part of painting a vehicle). Sorry to hear about the bad luck with the old paint on her. Trevor

A DA sander is what I usually use. Or a mud hog.

Re: Last look at my 69 SWB in its multi coloredness

I would just primer it all grey for now..Then paint it later. When you decide on a color. Or use that hotrodflatz would be cool. Dark blue. I am like you Iono where to start on a paint. But luckily I still got the Og paint on my truck.
