Ordered ECE 4/6 drop... Now what?

Ok guys, I ordered the drop kit, now I need to know about wheels and tires. I have 15x8 rally's with brand new 275/60/15's all the way around. I assume this setup isn't going to work with the drop. Is this correct? I am really wanting coys, but not sure about spending the money right now. If I can recoup some of my money selling the rally's I might be able to swing it. Im not even sure the rally's will bring anything. Surely the new tires are worth something. Give me yall's advice and what works from yall's experience please.

I think you'd be better off with 255/60s up front.

Chrome rallies are fairly cheap (the paint job's not)

Re: Ordered ECE 4/6 drop... Now what?

I'm putting in a 3.5/4 to 4/5 drop in...and I plan on keeping my 275/60-15 BFG's on 8" rally all round....at least until I can afford to by the 17x8/18x10 stagger C-5's I want to upgrade to.

Not 100% sure you will rub but I would say there is a decent chance since the spindle will throw the wheels 3/4" out ward.

I have the same size tires right now and I am holding off on installing the 4.5/6 drop until I figure out my wheel/tire dilema.

it might still work but the front is going to stick out more than the back.

Re: Ordered ECE 4/6 drop... Now what?

First things first... what year of truck are we talking about?

Secondly, you will not have any issues running the 15x8's with 275/60-15, as I ran 15x8's with 235/75-R15 until I ordered my new wheels.

If you have any questions on the install just click on "Blank Slate" in my signature for a step by step walk through of the install of my 4.5/6" drop with disc brake upgrade. It should cover just about everything you will need to know.

Shouldn't have any issues running the 15x8's. IMO, I would like to either have a 15x7 ralley up front or an aftermarket wheel that would pull the wheel into the wheel-well, which is what you have planned in the future.

Re: Ordered ECE 4/6 drop... Now what?

see ten had 275/60/15's on 15x8 rallies when he did his 3.5/6 drop and everything cleared just fine. The tires just tend to look a tad bulky on the front compared to the rear. You could just change to a 255/60/15 tire for the front and still have 2 extras for the rear in case you wear them out.

Re: Ordered ECE 4/6 drop... Now what?

Thanks guys. I am gonna go order 255's for the front until I can afford the coys. 200.00 for two new tires is a whole lot cheaper than c5's and tires. Plus I love the look of red truck above!

One last thing, I cannot say enough about Early Classic's customer service. One of the few companies that I have encountered in a while that is still a pleasure to deal with.
