Power Steering Pulley is loose

Hey guys,

I'm new to the board and have a question. I noticed my power steering pulley has about an 1/8 inch play in it forward and back. I don't feel like this is normal and if not, how do I tighten it up? Thanks in advance!

Re: Power Steering Pulley is loose

Welcome from Texas...

I suspect the play is internal in the pump and I've never actually taken one apart. 1/8 th inch is not that much but if it's affecting the pumps ability to work or misaligning the belt you may have to replace it. $50 at Auto Zone.

Also, check Youtube and search on power steering pulley. Lots of videos on it.

sample pic of one...
