Power Steering Acting Up
I am slapping in a new pump so hopefully it make my question mute.
I swapped in power steering and front disc off of a 78 chevy some years ago, been driving it with no problems since other than a slightly loose belt. So I finally decided to fix the belt. Put a new one on, its a little tight but the tugging I was getting at low speeds. Took it for a 15 mile drive and by the time I got back it was whining, seemed to be a loose return line so I a new clamp tightened it up and topped it off with more pw fluid. Now it foams and spits fluid out the top and the power steering dosen't seem to be power steering anymore.... I have worked the wheel back and forth to work the air out of it, no luck and I've drained and refilled the pump, no luck..... |

Re: Power Steering Acting Up

Re: Power Steering Acting Up
Turned out to be air in the fluid. I drove it around enough to get it all out and now it works fine :-)
