Alright, I am trying to get the final details ironed out on my motor swap. and these are the questions I have right now. and I am sure I will have more later. I am taking out my 79 SBC for a 84 SBC passenger side dip tube, two piece rear main seal.
First question is, do I need a 84 era passenger side exhaust manifold because of the dip tube? or are the ones I have OK? No smog stuff on my truck. Can I use after market oil tubes like Mr Gasket 6237*found at local o'reilly's for $11*. the one that came with motor is for a van, there for, 9 feet long ![]() I want to use a set of M/T finned valve covers. But I think they are going to be to tall for the bracket for the A/C. Has/does anyone made a bracket or spacers *or how to make one* for such problem? Pic, Not mine, but close. ![]() The heads I have are 14014416 and I have read two sites that say that they are 64 cc and 58 cc heads. Mortec seems to be down since I last looked. any one know for sure? Thanks!

Re: final details on motor swap help
Shouldn't be any problem with the aftermarket dip tube.
