my new 71

I just picked up a 71 c10 with a 350 and the 4 speed!!!!! I think i got a pretty good deal... $300 there is a little rust but not tons. The engine and trans are original and they only have 116000 miles. I can't wait to tear into it and make it new. It runs great but i think the points need to be changed and the carb needs some work it has a little trouble starting when hot... but cold it fires right up. Any suggestions or comments???

Re: my new 71

looks great, might need a few more antennas though...
when do points should do rotor cap wires and plugs, as im sure its a combination, check if choke is sticking that may cause rough hot starting

easy to do. TOTALLY worth it. I just did it to my 250 straight 6. a little power increase & WAY smoother engine. starts easy & runs great. Look into the skip white distributer. For the money it looks like the best option

Re: my new 71

great find!
you won't regret an HEI upgrade. More power, better mileage, better start ups.
