Sanford Sound bikin wash / car show...i won a trophy
went to Sanford Sound (sanford, maine) for the 14th annual bikini car wash fund raiser and car show this past sunday. it is mostly a tuner show and despite several very nice muscle cars in attendance, i won 2nd place in the old school category with my 72 burb. funny, it is not modified and i don't have the minor rust issues or pitted chrome pieces swapped out yet. i had stuck around for the the lovely Amber of the PitGirls out of Raymond NH was the one to hand my trophy to me and she graciously posed for a photo. i took a LOT of photos of all the girls but will not post them all here. i even had my 72 Honda cb350 on the back to show off but I did not enter it in the judging competition. Perhaps next year I will have my 86 Aries wagon sleeper project done so I can compete against the modern guys. if i'd entered my dad's beater '97 camry i would have won second place Toyota by default.....LOL

Nice pics... But I don't care how hot they are, I would still cringe if someone was on my hood.
At least you got a free wash!

Re: Sanford Sound bikin wash / car show...i won a trophy
That rocks.
You know, there was a time when I wouldn't let that happen to any of my vehicles (bikini girls sitting on it, etc). Then I realized that life is too short, bikinis usually don't scratch paint, and the girls are usually pretty light and very careful. So I make exceptions like this from time to time as long as the girls are respectful about it. Never had them on the hood of my truck, but I've had them all over my other cars (the General Lee is always a favorite). Gotta keep your priorities in check!

Re: Sanford Sound bikin wash / car show...i won a trophy
thanks guys....
yeah.....a few coworkers cringed at the idea of letting girls sit on my truck. the girls were spread out and my truck is not meant to a trailer queen. lovely ladies are the only thing i want on my vehicles though. the hood survived unscathed. oh and the girls are based an hour away in new hampshire. women are as beautiful in maine as anywhere else....just not as many of them check out the pitgirls website (still under construction): http://www.thepitgirls.com/pg/ here are a few more faves: [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] Last edited by capev86; 07-28-2010 at 04:35 PM. |

Re: Sanford Sound bikin wash / car show...i won a trophy
as i originally said, i was snapping pictures like a crazy man. i have a bunch more but i have strayed away from the theme of this website enough. i got several pics of the 56 from different angles but only posted the less scandalous. certainly an iconic car to pair with bikini girls, yes. my camera takes high res photos but the click delay and reload time meant i missed a lot of good shots. couldn't resist snapping a pic of the girls wrestling over the garden hose. as you can tell the tall slender one with the A+ (literally) chest was a favorite of mine also.
i took a good number of photos of the cars (including the late model burb w/ the girls.....i love burbs......and girls), but guessing most of you are not into tuners and it takes forever to load pics onto a host site and then link them to here. it was definitely cool sitting behind that bright orange chevelle (i think) as she lit up the tires. made 2 runs and was doing a slow-motion drift on the second pass. certainly looks cool, but too expensive for my lifestyle....i like to save some rubber for the drive home!!! it was an awesome event that i had never been to before (lousy old job hours and lack of show ready car). maybe i will see some of you at it next year. now i have to get the center link fixed and figure out why it is now stumbling when idling when i just got it back from the shop and it was running perfectly all the previous weekend and only developed the issue on the way home. too much to do and no money right now....guess it will have to sit. but i did rack up several hundred miles on the truck.......compare that to it sitting for 3-4 months. Re: Sanford Sound bikin wash / car show...i won a trophy
Awesome! Gotta love how the girls swarm to a classic burb like bees to honey
And to top it all off, none of them would have had to be left behind since you have seating for all of them!

Re: Sanford Sound bikin wash / car show...i won a trophy
actually...the truck has the factory 6 passenger seating but i plan to add a third row eventually. 11 girls in total so some of them would have to share seat belts! i think those girls would be much happier riding in a plush stretch limo that has been clocked at 130+mph (what they came in) rather than in a noisy old truck with a stranger. still, that is the biggest thrill this single guy (me) has had in a while. maybe i will see them at future events or even better, become a helper and see the gals regularly.....who knows......

Re: Sanford Sound bikin wash / car show...i won a trophy
theres only one girl in my life i would let sit on my hood or any part of my truck, it would drive me insane knowing theres that much weight on the hood of my truck because the dings in it afterwords. Your burb is the only thing that interest me in the picture, beautiful by the way.
