Manual steerting gear box ?

Took on my manual gear box and im starting to clean off all the years of road grime and gunk. On the top i noticed it says check lube -> . Took out the screw and i didn't see and lube or anything. So I took all three screws out and poped the cover off . There was some old grease in with the gears.

Do i just pump grease in ?

What kind ?

How much ?
