I feel the need for Steel(wheels)

O.K., I bit the bullet and ordered the dropped spindles and non-power disc brake stuff. '71-'72 rotors, 5 on 5 ?, and 7/16 or 1/2 studs? I occurs to me that I need some plain steel 15" wheels for the front until I can decide what to do about wheels. What passenger car rims will fill the bill and what can I cannablilize?
Any help appreciated.

well i believe that 5 on 5 is the 71-87 chevy 1/2 ton truck. the one for passenger cars is 5 on 4.5. you should be able to steel any 5 lug from a 1/2 ton chevy truck.

Re: I feel the need for Steel(wheels)

1/2 ton chevy trucks are 5x5
chevy cars are 5x4.75
lug stud size is 1/2".

You could always run 6-lug aftermarket rotors and keep your current wheels.

Re: I feel the need for Steel(wheels)

Found a matched pair of steel 15 X 6 from a late '70 Chevy van in a local salvage yard, not far from home. Kinda' funky white, may just leave'em for the moment. Gonna pull some 235/70-15 's from some Superior Alum. (6) lug and stick on the white ones. LETS ROLL ! !
Waiting on the dropped spindles. All the other brake parts ordered.(WOO_HOO) Let the frammin' and bammin' begin.
