electric fans

since I'm updating my engine to a ls I want to update my cooling fans to a dual setup, I was thinking about these fans from be cool http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BCI-75007/?rtype=10 and this type of fan controller http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HDA-3654/
I wondering how this setup would work and I already have afco radiator like this one http://www.speedwaymotors.com/AFCO-S...ght,24516.html

Re: electric fans

Optional fans: Taurus, Mark VIII, Jeep, or LS1 dual fans. A Mark VIII dual speed fan is hard to beat. You can use low speed for the A/C. High speed for temperature probe.

Re: electric fans

go scrounge though a local junkyard.. Lots of electric fans in cars these days, for dirt cheap too.. If I knew that when i did this swap the first time there's no way i woulda put down the cash for new aftermarket fans.

I've head great things about the ford taurus fans.. they are dual speed pull close to 3000cfm, which is great for almost any sbc... es especially one with a aluminum rad.

I've just got done putting hyundia fans on mine, though depends on the specific measurement of your rad you might not be able to get 2 on there, mine has a 26" core, IIRC, and i could fit two one.. any smaller you'll have to cut some shroud away..

Re: electric fans

Do you plan to run A/C?
Read this on the Mark VIII. http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...cfan/index.php

I run dual LS1 fans. I'm going to upgrade to a dual speed for my A/C.

Any fan will require slight modifications to fit.
