switching from manual to electric regulators

i have a set of lmc regulators that are bound up so tightly the windows won't go up and down anymore (don't question if they are really stuck because i've had three master ASE techs check it out, one of the perks of being at school for this stuff, and they are binding) the question is...

i have a painless harness installed that has all the wiring for electric windows, but can i convert easily or are there hidden tricks i'm missing? how would i run them since my interior is finished and i cant just remove the window cranks, is there a way to leave a crank looking lever that runs the auto windows?

i've already found the parts for the windows but i don't know if i should go manual or electric i dont mind the manual windows but it would be cool to have automatics for showyness or whatever and since i have to replace...

Re: switching from manual to electric regulators

If you have the wires to be able to plug in a power window motor, it's a simple thing then. You should be able to just swap the window parts and get a power window button to put on the trim panel. If I recall, when buying new GM trim panels, they all came with a round hole for the crank and you had to square up that hole for the power window button to fit in. It has been a long time since I did that though, and could be sorely mistaken.

Re: switching from manual to electric regulators

are there any good looking power window buttons that would cover the round mark made by my old cranks? im thinking of placing an order tonight so i'm somewhat desperite for information, i'll begin googling but i need suggestions on switches

edit: links didnt work and there is no way to make them work, i'm assuming that the regulators include the motors right?

Re: switching from manual to electric regulators

The stock window switch is all I'm familiar with at all.

Those links you gave, go to nothing.
