Gas Tank Dmg'd is it different 98?

Ok yesterday my parents were on their way home from a trip. they have this little standard cab 1998 S-10 with the step side bed. A tie down strap apparently flew out and got wrapped around the drivline hitting and ripping a hole in gas tank. They asked me to find them another one.

So, what I am not sure of is: does this truck have something different for a tank because of the step side?

What years should I be searching for to find one?

How much should it cost?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Charles

The tank should be the same as a fleetside, I bought one from a junkyard for around $50 a couple years ago.
