Steering Column Interchangibility

It seems like all of the questions asked by us, have been covered on here at one point in time or another. However, since I want to be sure, I thought I would ask again. I am looking to swap out the auto column on my 82' for a manual (floor shift one). What years are plug and play? 77' - 82'?

Thanks,

I believe you are correct. There may be some 83's that will work too as I have seen one without the turn signal stalk wiper controls. It may have been an option or a mid year change or even just that truck had an older column put in it.

77 had some odd stuff so to be safe I would say 78 to 82 is plug & play.
