Re: center caps opinion

Looks like your options are limited to the standard aftermarket chrome mount from behind stuff.

What else are you considering?

Re: center caps opinion

Honestly, new center caps and polish are not going to bring your wheel back to life. Instead of spending 60.00 plus shipping for caps, I would apply that to some fresh wheels...

Re: center caps opinion

not everyone can afford new wheels, strip the clear coat off the rims, spend a buncha time polishing them, and get ya some center caps and this will get ya by and look good.

Re: center caps opinion

There's no clear coat on them. I've lightly sanded them with 1000 grit sandpaper. Haven't polished them yet, they're not in that bad of shape. I guess the picture makes it look so. And you're right, not everyone can afford new rims. The billet center caps can be bought locally. So the shipping cost doesn't apply.

Re: center caps opinion

I wasnt saying they were in bad shape I just figured they needed a good polish and most mags have some sort of clear coat on em. I think they will look good cleaned up with new caps, hell I like nice painted steel wheels with dog dish caps for that matter lol.

Re: center caps opinion

Yea I took the clear off a while back. I usually keep my rims clean, but where we've had to park the truck lately, mud gathers. Back when I had my motorcycle, I used to take a scotch brite pad and polish the rims, and clear coat over them. Kept the shine for a long time. And that's a nice looking truck you have on your avatar Spudz.
