for those of you with shaved door handles..
i got my kit in, and had a guy i know come align the doors for me. i put new rubbers in the truck as well. now the damn poppers can't pop the doors open. the rubbers are really stiff. if i take the rubbers out the door will pop open just fine. anyone else had problems with this? btw i am using the custom classic kit with 35# solenoids and will be puttin their poppers in as well.

are you saying the soleniods wont pop the door open or the little spring loaded pusher wont pust the door open. if the soleniod wont pull the latch then that means it aint strong enough. more than likely the new rubbers are putting some tension on the latches. if thats the case try pushing in on the door and then hitting the switch to see if it unlatches it. if its just the springs get some bigger ones. i got my poper kit from summit. its the vpa kit. the offer some big springs for the doors. hope you figure it out.

If it's the door jam weatherstripping that's causing the problem, you need to re-adjust those doors or the striker plate.
Mine were the same way when I installed new rubber but after a week of slamming doors, I decided to try another adjustment. I found my problem was in the stiker adjustment. After I moved it out a bit, the doors worked perfectly. You probably have too much outward pressure from the rubber and that makes the door buttons hard to push to open the door.
