steering wheel nut size?

I took the steering wheel off my 64 C10 about a week ago, today I went to put the wheel back on and surprise I can't remember where I put the jam nut

Does anyone know what size the nut is, and if I can get one that will work at the hardware store?

Re: steering wheel nut size?

I found one today in my Granddads old shed that would work.

I think he have kept every nut, bolt, screw from everything he ever took apart from his Kenworth to his Snapper and threw them into old coffee cans.
