'66 to '72 rear parking brake cable (interchangeable?)
i'm swapping to a '72 rear end on my '66 1/2-ton short bed...i need to replace the passenger rear parking/emergency brake cable on the '72...at Classic Parts, they show that the cable is the same for 66-72...however, LMC lists them with different part #'s....i was hoping to just swap the current rear cable from my '66 to the '72 rear end, so i don't have to buy a new one...but can anyone verify if they're the same?
thanks |

Re: '66 to '72 rear parking brake cable (interchangeable?)
sorry, forgot to mention...my truck is here, but the '72 is in Northeast MS at my dad's place...just upon glancing, i think they're the same...but they're not side-by-side, so i can't say for sure....i'll eventually be taking my '66 up there for the swap, but i'd like to have everything ordered beforehand (if i can't swap my cable)

According to Classic Parts of America the cables are the same in the rear and the center link depending on what transmission
